El reguetonero puertorriqueño Daddy Yankee, el máximo exponente del género urbano latino, compartió este viernes un video caminando por el centro comercial Plaza Las Américas, el más grande de Puerto Rico y el Caribe, al cual no entraba hace 15 años, según dijo.

'Bueno mi gente, estoy aquí en Plaza Las Américas, donde el 'shopping' (centro comercial) está completamente cerrado, pero me dieron una oportunidad de caminar en el 'mall' (centro comercial)', arrancó diciendo 'el jefe del reguetón' en el video que descargó a su cuenta de la red social Instagram.

Fundado en 1968, Plaza Las Américas es el centro comercial más grande del Caribe con más de 300 establecimientos donde además de tiendas hay 13 salas de cine y 40 restaurantes, bancos, una farmacia completa, oficinas médicas y profesionales y hasta una oficina del correo general.

'Se pueden imaginar los cambios que ha dado el 'mall' y yo no sabía, de las nuevas tiendas. Esto es como cultura en 'Peerre' (Puerto Rico). Por eso tengo que darme la vuelta por Plaza Las Américas porque quiero ver cómo ha cambiado', prosiguió contando el artista.

'Es de las cosas que quizá uno no puede disfrutar ya. Uno añora, uno lo hacía de 'chamaquito' (joven) y lo disfrutaba todo', terminó hablando Daddy Yankee, al tiempo en que un oficial de seguridad del centro comercial aprovechó la ocasión para tomarse una foto con el artista.

Hace 15 años Daddy Yankee lanzó su disco 'Barrio Fino', el que lo catapultó a nivel internacional, pues el mismo contaba con el tema 'Gasolina'.

Tras esa producción, ha lanzado varios más, entre ellos, 'El Cartel: The Big Boss', 'Mundial' y 'Prestige'.

Daddy Yankee, por otra parte, se prepara para ofrecer diez presentaciones en el Coliseo de Puerto Rico, en San Juan, en el mes de diciembre, como parte de su nueva gira de conciertos, 'Con Calma Tour'.

Esa primera presentación será el 5 de diciembre.

Esas diez presentaciones son un nuevo récord en la principal sala de espectáculos de la isla.

El récord lo ostentaba el dúo puertorriqueño de reguetón de Wisin y Yandel, cuando entre finales de noviembre y diciembre del año pasado se presentaron ocho veces, como parte de su gira de espectáculos, 'Como Antes Tour'.
